A Friendly & Warm Welcome Awaits

At the bottom of a steep sided valley beside The River Coln, lies The Inn at Fossebridge, an enchanting early 17th century former Coaching Inn, conveniently located between Cirencester and Northleach (Stow Road, A429). Today, it is a charming Georgian Cotswold retreat; a traditional pub with log fires & original flagstone floors, serving local cask ales and modern British food and set in a stunning riverside location with a large lake. There are also 9 individual and comfortable en-suite bedrooms. A splendid country pub, superbly cosy in winter but also with wonderful gardens, lawns and a large terrace to enjoy during the spring and summer months. The perfect haven for a Cotswold break, lazy lunch, romantic dinner or local ale.

This attractive 17th Century family run free house, located in the pretty hamlet of Fossebridge in the heart of the Coln Valley, has a rich history as a former coaching inn. It is now a quintessential Cotswold dining pub with rooms. The Inn’s original features of exposed beams, stone walls, open log fires and polished flagstone floors still remain today. The traditional Cotswold bar and dining pub is located in the oldest part of the building and is a wonderful retreat to enjoy local ales and great food combined with high levels of comfort and service. The daily special’s and creative dining menus offer dishes using fresh, local and seasonal produce, from light lunches, Fossebridge Classics to hearty main courses.

The Inn at Fossebridge is situated in a dip on the A429 (Fosse Way), 6 miles north of Cirencester at Fossebridge, between the Gloucestershire towns of Cirencester and Northleach.
The Inn is within an hour’s drive from Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Bristol & Bath, whilst Cheltenham, Cirencester, Bibury, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold & The Slaughters are a short distance away. You will also find many other pretty hamlets and villages on the doorstep which seem to look today as they did a few centuries ago.

The Cotswolds is one of the most quintessentially English, unspoiled regions in the country, renowned as an area of outstanding natural beauty, with rolling hills, stone walls, pretty hamlets and river valleys.
